POSITION:  AUTOMATION ENGINEER II

Location: Pune, India

Job Summary

The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. This role requires a deep understanding of automation technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automation frameworks and tools to support software development and testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions that improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead the development of automated test scripts, ensuring high quality and reliability of software products.
  • Maintain and enhance existing automation systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices, integrating new technologies and methodologies into the automation strategy.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, tools, and frameworks.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in automation engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Strong experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Jenkins, TestComplete, JMeter, Cypress).
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
