eGain
Content Adapter™
eGain Content Adapter allows eGain application
users to access existing content within the
enterprise. It helps your agents access corporate
content without duplication or extra effort,
by allowing intelligent searches through a
consistent eGain interface. Accessible content
sources include Lotus Notes™, Verity
K2™, and Microsoft SharePoint™ indexes.

Microsoft SharePoint
Simply point the Microsoft SharePoint Content
Adapter to directories, folders or web sites
that contain documents with relevant service
and support information in them, and it builds
its own SharePoint database of those documents.
You then have direct, seamless access to information
in the following formats: Microsoft SharePoint
folders, ASCII text documents, Microsoft Office
documents, Adobe Acrobat documents (PDF),
HTML files, Microsoft Exchange Folders, Microsoft
SQL Server databases, ODBC compliant databases,
and web searches. We also provide an API to
help you develop interfaces to custom formats.

Lotus Notes
There is no need to re-create or restructure
your Lotus Notes databases to view them through
your eGain application. The eGain Content
Adapter gives you direct access to customer
contact logs, product and sales databases,
call center logs, and support libraries.

Verity K2
With the eGain Content Adapter, you can simply
select appropriate Verity K2 collections to
view through your eGain application. Agents
will have immediate access to these collections
through the Verity K2 search capabilities.
